PACE Inc. is a Melbourne-based, volunteer-led organisation established in 2009.
The organisation is governed by a Committee of Management and supported by founders, donors and volunteers who work together to ensure activities remain focused on supporting individuals and families experiencing hardship.
PACE is supported by the Phil-Aust community and wider networks through ongoing fundraising and community engagement.
PACE provides direct financial and practical assistance to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship in the Philippines.
Our work focuses on helping to meet essential needs such as food, education and basic living costs, ensuring support reaches those who are unable to meet these needs without assistance.
Donations are used to provide direct support to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship through PACE’s active programs, including education, health, and livelihood support.
Funds are allocated by the Committee of Management based on identified needs, with a focus on ensuring assistance reaches those most in need.
PACE is a not-for-profit, volunteer-led organisation, with no paid staff.
In addition to financial contributions, donated goods such as educational materials and clothing are periodically distributed directly to individuals and families experiencing hardship within the local community.

Funding is often prioritised towards scholarships to help ensure students can continue their education without disruption.
PACE works in partnership with local schools to identify students from families experiencing financial hardship who would benefit from support.
School principals provide recommendations based on each student’s circumstances, including their level of need, school attendance, and ability to engage with their education.
Recommended students, together with a parent or guardian, participate in a discussion with PACE representatives to understand their needs, explain the program, and confirm their commitment to participate.
Once accepted, scholars receive ongoing financial support and mentorship. Their progress is monitored throughout the program in collaboration with schools and families, helping ensure support remains appropriate and effective.
Each year, scholars provide updates on their education, and families are invited to attend local meetings. These sessions provide an opportunity to share experiences, offer mentorship and guidance, and review how the program can continue to best support students and their families.
The program is volunteer-led and delivered in close partnership with schools. Principals and teachers support the selection process and ongoing monitoring, helping ensure that assistance reaches those most in need and continues to make a meaningful difference.
PACE may consider nominations; however, all individuals are assessed through a consistent process to ensure support is directed to those experiencing genuine financial hardship.
Selection is based on identified need and the ability for support to make a meaningful and appropriate impact.
Programs are delivered in collaboration with schools, local partners and community members to help ensure assistance is fair, targeted and responsive to local circumstances.
PACE is supported entirely by volunteers and donors.
Contributions of time, skills, resources or financial support all play a role in helping provide direct assistance to individuals and families experiencing hardship.
Whether through volunteering, donating, or supporting fundraising activities, every contribution helps make practical support possible.
